This TED talk gave a very interesting perspective into our need to transcend the satisfaction of the self and fight for a higher purpose. Not only this but an insight into why “Group Selection” is good for us and perhaps has lead to our survival. Organisms that share thrive when they come together with a common purpose. However they need to protect themselves from freeloaders.
