Peter Becker
Peter is driving a renewable energy future for South Africa. He’s a geek and so he started building personal wind turbines to prove alternative energy production systems were effective and viable. On one of his lectures to schools he found a poster on energy production that clearly did not give a balanced picture of the impacts of nuclear.  To redress this, he revived the Koeberg alert organisation and is campaigning to bring the full costs of nuclear, financial, social and environmental, into the public consciousness. He believes South Africa will be making a huge mistake by committing R1 Trillion to a nuclear future when we can do so much more with renewable energy.
